I guess it comes with age. Aku sayang bumi ni. Sian aku tengok mother earth punya situation from day to day. It gets worse and worse each day. And it gets to the point where aku rasa macam nak jadik environmentalist gitu. Champion for environmental issues.
It's suppose to be a collective effort. One can't get it done. It takes everyone to make it happen. Macam global warming gitu. Panas siot bumi ni sekarang. Naik Cameron Highlands yang patutnya sejuk tu pun dah tak berapa nak sejuk. Kat lowland ni apatah lagi kan. Then, tempat yang tak patut ada snow, ada snow. Pastu glaciers banyak yang dah cair. I saw on Oprah last night, this researcher kat Antarctic kata ada glacier sebesar New Haven dah gone in a year dia kat sana. Aku tak sure tahun berapa le tu, or how big New Haven actually is.. tapi I assume besar le. Kot dia kata sebesar Perlis pun, harus besar tu. Lain le kalau dia kata besar Changlun! Kekekeke.. Opppsss...
To stop global warming from getting worse (since I don't think the process is reversible), we have to do our own bits and pieces. Plant more trees. Don't suka-suka tarah bukit, potong pokok. Reduce the usage of paper. Recycle everything that's possible to be recycled especially papers kat ofis. Aku sayang tengok paper kat ofis ni kena buat gitu-gitu je walaupun baru guna sebelah page je. Sian pokok-pokok yang kena kerat untuk dijadikan paper tu. If you have ever planted a tree, you can imagine how long it takes for the tree to grow before leh jadik paper. Pastu senang-senang buang. Aiyo!
Pastu reduce the usage of plastic bags. I see more shopping centres dah mula jual environmental friendly bags, which is good. Tapi still bagi bag untuk buat packing barang. Yang dah tak bagi bag plastic untuk pack barang cuma kat IKEA je. If you want a bag, you can either buy their bag (which I think is cool) or dia akan charge for the plastic bag. Tak mahal le kan.. takat 10 sen or 20 sen depending on the size. But at least it'll make you think. And the money from the sale of the bags will go to some organisation, which I think is good as well.
Yeah, I know.. banyak lagi isu yang nak difikirkan kat dunia ni.. kes rempit le, kes buang anak le, kes bunuh le, kes Tiger Woods le... tapi, doing things for the environment is not something yang susah. It should be the second nature je. Habit. Manusia ni kan creature of habit. Once you do it often, it'll be your habit and you are going to do it without you being aware of it.
And it's time to teach our children gak pasal environment ni. Kalau lama lagi kiamat, maka suffer le mereka kat bumi yang makin panas, makin banyak snowstorm, makin kerap banjir, makin banyak gempa etc, if things are not done to change things that can be changed.
Okeh. Enough of pouring my thought and curing my sleepiness. Back to work!

kat school nih mmg style dok pakai used paper for rough or draft work. tray for recycled paper sokmo empty, ppl been collecting and using them here instead of chasing after those new empty papers.
in shopping malls here, mmg dah less use of plastic bags. the cashier would always ask us, 'do u want a bag?' and being a malaysian ahaks! i'll always jawab, 'yes pls' sbb aku nak guna plastic bag tu utk bungkus lunchbox kami for those days yg lauk berkuah2! hehehe tp dah terikut gaks pe'el omputeh kalau takat beli dvd, menda kecik2, meks either masukkan jer dalam handbag meks ni or just pegang gitu jer, like other aussies usually do.
ha ah environmental bag are all around in the shopping malls here, tp aku beli sbb suker design on it & the colors heehee, still nak plastic beg.. once a malaysian, always a malaysian eh?

Aku contributelah dgn mengrecycle segala benda yg boleh di recycle. Tapi pakcik yg angkat recycle bin aku tak pernah kosongkan tong recycle aku. Amacam tuh??? Aku jugak yg kena drive ke recycling center. Malaslah cam ni....
